Lionsgate decided to test the waters on Tuesday by dropping the first trailer sneak peek for international audiences only. LOLz! Someone should tell them how the Internet works!

Ben Affleck Named OUTSTANDING DIRECTOR For Argo At The DGA Awards! Full List Of Winners HERE!

ben affleck dga awards

Well, we think it's safe to say that the members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences must be kicking themselves right now!

And if they're not, they SHOULD be!

Because after being NOTICEABLY snubbed from the "Best Director" category of the upcoming Academy Awards for his truly magnificent work on Argo, Ben Affleck was named outstanding director for the flick at the 65th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards last night in El Lay, beating out Kathryn Bigelow for Zero Dark Thirty, Tom Hooper for Les Miserables, Ang Lee for Life of Pi and Steven Spielberg for Lincoln!

But what's most telling - at least to us - about the win is that it marks the THIRD time since the DGA Awards started in 1948 that its 15,000 members have voted in this category for a nominee that has been up for the Oscar!

Frankly, between this and the Golden Globe, we're just glad to see that he's being recognized for his outstanding work!

It's MORE than deserved, Ben!

And we think VERY telling of how the Academy might vote for your flick in the categories for which it HAS been nominated!

But only time will confirm that!

Check out the rest of the winners from last night's DGA Awards…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

Hope you enjoy it, Ben! And don't even worry about the Oscars… you're young! You've got plenty of projects ahead of you.

Jessica Chastain is vegan and enjoys a cruelty free diet…

Bret Easton Ellis Apologizes For Sexist Tweets In Essay Form!

Well well well, Mr. Ellis!

The Canyons director and very opinionated Twitterer Bret Easton Ellis decided to address the extreme media backlash concerning his rather sexist tweets about Zero Dark Thrity director Kathryn Bigelow

And he apologizes in a seemingly sincere fashion!

Bret's response itself is VERY lengthy, but let us provide some highlights from his essay that discusses Twitter, persona, sexism, and Mz. Bigelow, among MANY other subjects:
