HOLD THE PHONES.

Earlier this week, Norman Lear dropped a pretty big truth bomb about Ann Coulter. Sadly, it's not that she's a closeted liberal, but rather the longtime industry vet got candid about Miz Coulter's love life.

While chatting with black-ish creator Kenya Barris for the Untold Stories issue of Entertainment Weekly, the celebrated TV writer dished that his close friend Jimmie Walker has dated (or is currently dating) the conservative political commentator. Wait, WHAT???

The topic of Walker's personal life came up when Norman was discussing casting his pal as J.J. on Good Times. According to the 94-year-old, he knew the "role could make [Jimmie] a star." Shortly after this comment Norman casually dropped the Coulter news, as he stated:

Black-Ish Is Pulling A Cosby — No, In A GOOD Way!

Filed under: TV NewsYoung HollywoodGolden GlobesVogue

Black-ish is one of ABC's most acclaimed series, so it's no surprise the network is looking to make a spin-off of the Golden Globe-winning comedy.

According to Deadline, the potential spin-off would star Yara Shahidi, who plays the eldest Johnson daughter Zoey, and would follow her as she heads off to college.

Talks are still in the very early stages for the new show, which would be overseen by exec producer Kenya Barris and potentially be introduced as a backdoor pilot in a spring episode of Black-ish.

This season of the hit comedy featured the 17-year-old fashionista landing an internship at Teen Vogue, so a Zoey-centric spin-off would definitely make sense.

The Cosby Show pulled off a similar move back in the ‘80s when the Huxtables' daughter Denise (Lisa Bonet) spun off into her own series, A Different World, when she went to college. Though we're hoping Zoey's spin-off is more like Lauren Conrad in The Hills!

Either way, the 16-year-old actress is certainly a young star to watch out for. For more stars to watch in 2017…

Black-ish is one of the funniest shows on primetime television right now!

But the ABC sitcom plans on tackling a serious issue in an upcoming episode — police brutality.

The episode titled "Hope" will revolve around the Johnson family witnessing a news broadcast that involves an African-American teenager's encounter with the police.

During the fictional incident, Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross) and Dre (Anthony Anderson) discuss the issue with their family– and they don't see eye-to-eye with what their four kids should be privy to.
