Over the weekend, Kevin James FINALLY got candid about why Erinn Hayes' character on Kevin Can Wait was abruptly killed off. However, the funny man's explanation may make your blood boil.

While chatting with the New York Daily News, James revealed that the decision to replace Hayes with his longtime collaborator, Leah Remini, wasn't because he or anyone else associated with the show had a problem with Erinn. Rather, per the 52-year-old, the role of Donna was eliminated because they were out of storyline ideas.

After it was revealed Kevin James' CBS show Kevin Can Wait would be "tastefully" killing off lead actress Erinn Hayes to make room for Leah Remini, fans finally got to see just how it went down on the season two premiere on Monday.

And it turns out Donna Gable's death wasn't as dignified as execs made it sound!

All viewers saw was a short scene with Kevin's on-screen daughter, Kendra (Taylor Spreitler), responding to a postcard in the mail from Donna's gym:

"Give me that, I will call them right now. It's been over a year since she died, they shouldn't still be sending this."

That was basically it. No explanation of how the show's leading lady passed.

Leah Remini isn't messing around when it comes to her war against Scientology.

While the industry vet has her plate full with her new full-time gig on CBS' Kevin Can Wait, Leah is more determined than ever to take down her former faith.

In fact, the 47-year-old hopes her A&E docuseries, titled Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, will spark a federal investigation into the controversial Church.
