Kevin James Loved UFC Waaay Before His New Movie!

Have you seen the trailer for Kevin James' new movie, Here Come The Boom?

You might notice something a little different about him — he lost a TON of weight for the role!

So why would someone make that kind of commitment to a movie about a teacher who learns MMA to raise money for their school??

It probably has something to do with the fact that Kevin loved the UFC waaaay before he knew the fame he knows today:

Nick Cannon Chaperones Directs Your Next School Dance!

nick-cannon-directing-school-dance-comedy-musical.jpg

Martin Scorsese, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

There’s a new director in town and it’s Mariah Carey’s hubby Nick Cannon!

Nick co-writes and is set to direct a new Lionsgate comedy titled School Dance that is said to be in the vein of Friday and West Side Story.

UM… What! Yes, because HIGHlarious comedy Friday and legendary musical West Side Story are comparable films…

In fact, wasn’t Friday just a modern remake of West Side Story? HAH!

High School Musical 3 School Dance centers around a High School freshman who so desperately wants to be part of the popular dance clique, but the poor sod freezes up whenever he gets near them.

This coming-of age story is rumored to have an ‘all star’ cast and will feature cameos by Kanye West, Kevin Hart, Cee Lo Green, George Lopez, Wilmer Valderrama, Bobby J. Thompson, JB Smith, New Boyz, The Rangers, and ASAP Rocky, along with the musical stylings of Swizz Beatz.

We are VERY intrigued as to what a Friday meets West Side Story, Nick Cannon directed, ‘all-star’ cast movie will look like!

PETA Letter's To Comedy A-listers

PETA Letter's To Comedy A-listers

Someone's in trouble…

H-wood funnymen Kevin James, Adam Sandler, Steve Carell, and Jim Carrey were sent some strong worded letters from PETA today.

The letters, which PETA released to the Track, read:

“We’re absolutely sure that until this moment, you could not have been aware of the abuse and suffering that captive wild animals used in the entertainment industry endure behind the scenes, and we feel that it is important to provide you with this information.”

James and Sandler were specifically targeted in the protest, due to the recent release of their flick The Zookeeper.

Back in 2009, the death of Tweet, a giraffe who collapsed and died on the Franklin Park set of the film, sparked a federal investigation. Tweet’s scenes in Zookeeper were filmed at the local zoo, though he wasn’t a resident. He was transported from California’s Animals in Motion for the shoot.

Activists made their presence known outside the Zookeeper premiere last week in El Lay.

PETA staged an elaborate protest, featuring signs that read “Cruelty Has No Place In Show Business.”

The Battle Between Bots, Bosses, And Bears!

transfomers-horrible-bosses-zookeeper-box-office.jpg

So, which movie won at the box office this weekend??

In its second weekend, Transformers: Dark of the Moon came in first place with $47 million, a good number, but a 52% decline from last week's explosive weekend. Don't feel too bad for the producers though because the movie so far has racked up a crazy impressive 12-day total of $261 million. Holy Optimus Prime!

The HIGHlariously funny comedy Horrible Bosses starring Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey finished the weekend in second place with a strong start with $28.1 million.

And looks like the kiddies dragged their parents to see Kevin James' Zookeeper, which came in at the third spot with $21 million. Guess kids can't say no to cute CG animals!

Here's this weekend's top five box office:

1. Transformers: Dark of the Moon — $47.0 mil
2. Horrible Bosses — $28.1 mil
3. Zookeeper — $21.0 mil
4. Cars 2 — $15.2 mil
5. Bad Teacher — $9.0 mil
6. Larry Crowne — $6.3 mil

So, what did U see this weekend?

What Elephants Think Of Kevin James

What Elephants Think Of Kevin James

Ouch!

Looks like critics aren't the only honest people in Hollywood!

At the Zookeeper premiere on Wednesday, Kevin James admitted:

"I did get peed on by an elephant. That was the one thing that I hadn't [experienced] before. Now I can check it off my bucket list."

Ew! That's one nassty review!

But not all of Kevins' co-stars though he was as good as a toilet. Donnie Wahlberg, who also stars in the film said:

"I think working with Kevin James is the best. It's good to have someone who doesn't have an ego, who's not afraid to let somebody do their thing and be encouraging and supportive."

How sweet Donnie-Don!

If you wanna see mores of this bromance and tons of talking animals check out Zookeeper, which opens in theaters today!
