camille cosby comments bill cosby guilty verdict

Bill Cosby's wife is doubling down on her support of the scandalized comedian.

As you surely know, the controversial funny man's rape retrial came to a close in April, after the disgraced industry vet was found GUILTY on three counts of aggravated indecent assault against Andrea Constand. The 80-year-old now potentially faces a sentence tantamount to life in prison — 10 years for each charge.

Thus, it isn't surprising to learn that, Camille Cosby has once again rushed to defend her husband amid his very troubling controversy. Specifically, Mrs. Cosby has launched a verbal attack against prosecutor Kevin Steele, demanding a criminal investigation into his work. Oh, and she's blamed the media and a "perjured testimony" by Constand for causing Bill's conviction.

Hmmm, we think it was the 60+ plus women who spoke out about being victims that influenced the guilty verdict. Just sayin'!!

In a three page statement, Camille defended that her husband's conviction was equivalent to the series of wrongs set upon African Americans since the slavery days in the U.S. In reference to the largely white group of people working on this case, she noted:

Looks like Andrea Constand will get her day in court!

Bill Cosby WILL go to court for those criminal charges after all!

In this controversial case, Andrea Constand claims the comedian drugged and sexually assaulted her at his home back in 2004.

Last month, the scandalized celeb was granted a temporary stay from the trial while the Pennsylvania Superior Court made a decision about his motion to dismiss the charges.

But now, the judge is rejecting his attempt to put a halt on the trial!

The actor's attorneys had been appealing the February ruling that decided against throwing out the case, since the previous District Attorney had apparently promised the star that he wouldn't be prosecuted over the alleged assault against the former Temple University employee.

However, on Monday the court denied the appeal and lifted the stay, allowing the trial to move forward.

Current DA Kevin Steele is pleased with the decision, saying in a statement:

Bill Cosby's Lawyers Say His Criminal Charge Is Just A Political Move!

Bill's lawyers think the DA-elect is just trying to make a name for himself.

Bill Cosby's lawyers are gearing up to fight his criminal charge!

On Wednesday, the scandalized star was arraigned and booked for the alleged aggravated indecent assault of Andrea Constand in 2004, and a judge set his bail at $1 million.

The 78-year-old was able to leave the police station after posting 10% of the full amount.

And while the actor didn't enter a plea during his arraignment, his attorneys are already heavily criticizing the charge he's facing.

According to his legal representation, prosecuting the comedian was apparently the main selling point for the DA-elect in his recent campaign.

Kevin Steele — who takes office as the District Attorney of Montgomery County on Friday — based a lot of his platform around Andrea's case against the Cosby Show alum.

It turns out that his competitor, Bruce Castor, held the DA position in 2005 and rejected the accuser's initial case because her credibility was supposedly questionable.

So, Kevin spent the recent race bashing Bruce's decision, causing Bill's lawyers to argue that their client is only being charged for political appearances.

The celeb's team is supposedly working on a "vigorous defense against this unjustified charge."
