Log out behind you!!!
Over the past year, horror fans have been treated to a new wave of modern classics — including The Babadook, The Witch, It Follows, and, most importantly, Most Likely To Die – but we may have just found your new scary obsession.
That's because an upcoming movie called Impossible Things will soon be coming to a theater to you… and it just so happened to be written by a computer!!
Yep. You read that right!
Jack Zhang of Greenlight Essentials used augmented intelligence software to figure out what viewers perceive to be the "scariest and creepiest" aspects of horror to handcraft the perfect thriller!
Basically, the team is using a Kickstarter campaign to figure out what horror tropes people actually want in their films — which so far includes a piano scene, a bathtub scene, a grieving family, a dead baby, and a haunted house.
Seems about right…
There's no word on when the feature film will be ready to terrify you… but based on the crowdfunding site's sizzle trailer, we are SO intrigued! Can a computer really scare us??
Ch-ch-check out the teaser trailer for Impossible Things (below)!!!
