The 'King Of Country PR' Steps Down From Business Amid Sexual Assault Claims

no title

A man who repped country artists such as Dolly Parton and Kid Rock is being accused of sexual assault.

Late October, former client and musician Austin Rick — also known as Austin Cody — wrote a post on Facebook accusing publicist Kirt Webster (above, right) of drugging and sexually violating him.

The singer reveals:

"In 2008, Kirt Webster, the CEO of the powerful Webster Public Relations did terrible, terrible things to me. He sexually assaulted me repeatedly, he drugged and sexually violated me, he offered me publicity opportunities and magazine columns in exchange for sexual acts. He paid me to keep my mouth shut. And he did everything under threat that he'd make sure nobody in the industry ever heard my name again. It took me a year to escape from him and get away to where he couldn't find me or reach me any longer — although he still continued to harass me via phone and text messages.

According to a Webster Public Relations rep, the "King of Country PR" is stepping down amid the allegations.

"Webster Public Relations will continue operating — but under the name Westby Public Relations — while Kirt Webster takes some time away from the business to focus on combating the egregious and untrue allegations."

Although Webster is distancing himself from business, his rep says Rick's claims are "untrue," "opportunistic," and says the two had a "brief relationship."

While Republicans stlll believe that his bid is somewhat unlikely even after recent events indicating otherwise, they are nevertheless encouraged that literally everyone knows who Kid Rock is — and that could go a long way for a victory, says Robert Steele, the Republican national committeeman from Michigan:

Do you smell what the 2020 presidential candidate is cooking??

You will if Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson ends up deciding to give Donald Trump a run for his presidency!

The Fate of the Furious star has hinted at the possibility of running for president in the upcoming election. Sounds crazy, we know, but stranger things have happened!

For example, Roseanne Barr already RAN for president in 2012. Few people know this because the comedian only wanted to campaign online. Still, she managed to snag 0.36% of the popular vote!

Kid Rock plans on running a much more visible campaign when he runs for Senate in Michigan next year. Don't laugh, we're serious.

Kid Rock, born Robert Ritchie, is unbelievably popular in Michigan, and that combined with what would no doubt be a non-traditional campaign on his end could push him to at least win the Republican nomination to run for Senate there in 2018.

There's a new report out in Politico today all about Kid Rock's chances for a Senate seat that has been making the rounds, and there's some really interesting stuff in it.

Take, for example, Republican political consultant Dennis Lennox, who believes Kid Rock has already locked up the Republican nomination to run — if he wants it:
