Finding the perfect pair of jeans can be a hassle, but thanks to new technology there's now a machine that does the leg work for you.
All you gotta do is step into a Bodymetrics pod to have your body scanned and presto! It recommends jeans by brand and body type!
The machine used Microsoft Kinect technology and classifies body in gems: "Emerald" for slim shapes, "Ruby" for curvy shapes and "Sapphire" for those in the middles.
Only three sizes,? That could raise a few eyebrows!
The pod is up and running in the UK and will receive a test stateside at Bloomingdale's before branching out to over 100 stores.
Would you let a machine tell U what jeans to get???

Who wouldn't want a shopping cart to follow you around and tell you when you're done with your list??
Oh, people who think that it's unnecessary?
Pretty much everyone? Ha!
Check out this video of a Kinect powered shopping cart from Whole Foods. It lets you scan and complete you check out there while it follows you around the store.
It totally doesn't show what it'd be like with the other 200 people in the store, with Kinect powered carts. Sounds like a cluster of terrible to us.
Still, pretty neat in concept!

Earlier this week, Microsoft presented a new point of sale software at National Retail Federation Conference in New York City that is borderline creepy.
The Windows Embedded POSReady 7 program will use motion capture technology, just like the Kinect for Xbox 360, to scan live data ti estimate gender, height, weight, ethnicity, and age as shoppers walk past store windows.
Based on all those characteristics, retailers can then create personalized live ads for each shopper on the spot.
It has the potential to be cool, but at the same time we can't help but get the heebie-jeebies.
What do U think about this new technology???
