Giorgio Armani will not be traveling to Beijing later this spring.
The designer explained during a presentation at his home in Milan: "It’s not the right moment to celebrate, hold events or parties. It’s such a difficult time now."
Instead, King Giorgio will donate all funds dedicated to the event to help relief efforts in Japan.

Megan Fox made her obligatory appearance at the Spike TV Awards on Saturday in a rather boring Azzedine Alaia dress.
Should have stuck with Armani, Foxy. You always look hot in something by King Giorgio.

We're surprised this didn't happen sooner!
After designing numerous show stopping red carpet outfits and over the top tour costumes for her, Giorgio Armani has signed a deal with Lady GaGa to continue their partnership.
The new agreement is reportedly worth millions in publicity and clothing for the fashion house and will include new stage outfits for Gagita's concert in Italy this December.
We can't wait to see what King Giorgio comes up with!

It's a sign of the times.
Armani is reporting a 6% decline in sales for 2009 and naturally they're blaming the recession. Total sales for the year totaled $1.90 BILLION, which was down from 2008's $2.04 BILLION.
But King Giorgio says he isn't too worried because sales figures for the new year are already showing an improvement. He says "The first few months of 2010 have already shown a promising positive momentum".
If things keep looking up we're sure he won't even notice the millions that were missing from last year.
