Knut

Poor little Knut the deceased polar bear.

He stole the hearts of the German people and anyone anywhere who saw the cute pics of the little guy.

Sadly, Knut died after a mysterious seizure caused him to drown in his enclosure.

We previously mentioned that zookeepers were planning on stuffing the little guy!

Apparently, that's all true!

The Late Knut Was A Millionaire Mogul

The Late Knut Was A Millionaire Mogul

Incredable.

In the short four-year life Knut — the world's most famous Polar Bear — made over $140 million dollars.

Now the fate of Brand Knut—unprecedented in the history of brands and animals—is up for grabs.

Scores of book publishers, moviemakers, marketers, advertisers, and manufacturers of stuffed animals, lunchboxes, and coffee cups hope to profit before the public's memory of the cuddly cub is replaced with that of a large, dead polar bear.

There are already plans for a television documentary in Germany. The chinamaker KPM is issuing $315 commemorative Knuts that have Zur Erinnerung ("in memoriam") inscribed on them. (cra-cra)

So, it seems as though Knut is destined to make millions in death as well.

Poor Knut, looks like it's gonna be a while before the bear will finally rest in peace.

Zoo Director Wants Knut Stuffed!!!!!!

Don't Suff Knut!!!!!

WTF???

The world's most famous polar bear dies and the zoo’s director decided to stuff its body and put it on display in a museum. (The director prefers the technical term, dermoplastik, though to most people it’s stuffed.)

The leader of the protest movement that hopes to stop the planed taxidermy said “When someone dies in your family I think you don’t want him stuffed in a museum."

Even the grinch would agree with that.

Speaking of the nasty and greedy - the nemesis of the anti-stuffing crowd is the zoo’s director, Bernhard Blaszkiewitz.

Ya know… the same dude who zoo marketed this bear from birth, made millions off its presence, sold plush toy Knuts for nearly $30 and Knut baby videos for the same, and even registered “Knut” as a trademark.

Now, Mr. Blaszkiewitz says he is shocked at how much people feel for this animal, who died, quite suddenly, at the age of 4 ½ last month.

"The problem is, people take their human feelings and put them into animals,”

he said, adding that the candles and flowers and posters that mourners have deposited at the zoo are "silly."

If ur in Berlin, please find Blaszkiewitz (just follow the smell of children's tears) and kick him in the balls.

Thanks.

What Really Caused Knut's Death

Knut's final nrcropsy

Nearly two weeks after the sudden death of Knut the polar bear on March 19, the final necropsy results were made public:

Knut, who walked in circles before freezing up and falling into the water in his enclosure at the Berlin Zoo, drowned.

It was reported before that Knut died of brain anomalies.

While drowning was the immediate cause of death, experts who examined his body concluded that the underlying cause was encephalitis, or a swelling of the brain brought on by an infection.

The nature of the infection is unclear, explained the pathologist who led Knut's examination, although it was probably caused by a virus.

According to reports, Knut carried the infection for quite a while, and it was so severe that it likely would have killed the bear eventually.

Why must the lives of child stars be so tragic?

We'll miss our favorite polar bear!
