This is absolutely heartbreaking.

A cute little koala bear made his way back to his home in New South Wales, Australia.

But once he got there… it was all gone.

The area had been cut down and chipped by logging operations.

A volunteer from a rescue operation licensed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service called WIRES snapped a pic (above).

The most heart wrenching part?

While out for a bike ride in Adelaide, Australia, Harley Johnstone spotted a cute Koala.

So he decided to stop his bike and go check out the little guy.

When it didn't run away immediately he thought it might be pretty thirsty, cause it was so hot out.

So he brought over his water bottle to the little guy.

He then started dripping water out in the Koala's mouth… and the cute critter actually started drinking it!!

He looks like he's just drinking it one drop at a time, but he does keep coming back for more.

Such a little CUTIE pie!!

This Belgian zoo just got a billion times CUTER!!!!

Papa Goonawarra and mama Guwara have a new babe on their hands and the little one is slowing peeking out of Mom's pouch.

Marsupial babes are born underdeveloped and stay in the pouch for six months.

When the babe's gender is determined, he or she will receive an aboriginal name starting with N, 2012's name motif.

Luckily, we get to enjoy this babe for ALL of 2013 and beyond!

Moms are the truly the best thing ever, right?!

A baby koala really REALLY wants to get down from this tree but he's just too scared to do so.

His mama tries to encourage her little guy but the cub doesn't know what to do.

Finally, Mom swoops in and lets the babe ride on her back….

Ok…we see how it is…he just wanted a piggy ride from Mom! LOLz!
