The former Destiny's Child starlet was well-received by UK audiences during her stint on the X Factor judges panel in 2011, but while she only ended up staying for just one season, she expressed interest in bringing her talents back across the pond for the US version!

Fast-forward to NOW…and it appears that her wish might just come TRUE!

Producers of the reality competition's stateside version are reportedly in the final stages of negotiations with the singer, and if all goes according to plan, she'll be the lucky lady taking over for Britney Spears in the third season!

And we think it's safe to say that head honcho Simon Cowell is pretty thrilled with the news, as her salary demand of $2.3 million is MUCH less than the $15 million Miz Spears took in for her one-year commitment!

It seems America's Boyfriend Justin Bieber is assisting music mogul L.A. Reid in some seXy judging duties, as the two were snapped in El Lay Monday, filming a segment for the revamped X Factor (above)!

As we all know, the reality competition divides its contestants by age and gender and assigns them to a specific group, each under the watchful mentorship of a judge on the panel!

Last year, Simon Cowell took the female solo singers ages 12 to 29, L.A. Reid the male, Paula Abdul the groups, and Nicole Scherzinger the over 30s, which had us pretty curious to see which categories new team members Demi Lovato and Britney Spears would land!

However, according to sources with the show, the group categories have been completely re-formatted, and now ALL categories are based solely on age!
