Yesterday, the L.A. Arsonist was arrested…and now we're hearing that a similar arrest has taken place in New York City.

NYC police have brought in a man suspected of four "firebombings" that took place on Sunday night, which may have been hate crimes. The molotov cocktails/bombs were made from Starbucks drink bottles. Awful!

We're SO glad this is all over with!

Yesterday, a "person of interest" who was believed to be responsible for 53 arson fires in L.A. and $2 million worth of damage was detained.

Now, we've learned that the "person of interest" is in fact the person of guilt, and he's been identified as a 24-year-old man from Germany named Harry Burkhart.

He was booked in jail yesterday afternoon, and we're hearing that he's being held without bail.

To recap - earlier this morning, a "person of interest" who may be responsible for the L.A. arson fires was detained.

As we mentioned before, we had heard that the man was driving a blue minivan and reportedly had Canadian license plates.

Then, detectives announced that they found "materials that could have been used to set fires inside the minivan" of the person of interest. We also heard more evidence that made the man sound pretty damn guilty.

Now, we've learned that the suspect is expected to be booked on arson charges this afternoon AND given the fact that the fires have stopped, we're thinking he's definitely the culprit.

As a reminder, a series of "fires of concern" have been reported in Los Angeles since Friday, and there were eleven more this morning, bringing the total to 55 fires.
