"That was definitely one of the draws for me to work with Stephenie [Meyer]. I had read the first "Twilight" book when I was 14 and really liked how clear she made something like first love and discovering yourself. I haven't seen many of the films, to be honest — I think I saw the first one and the last one, but it was more the books that I liked."

- Saoirse Ronan, on her preference for the Twilight books and not the movies, to the LA Times.

Voters Strike Devastating Blow Job To El Lay Porn Industry!

porn legislature passed los angeles condom required

Ruh-roh! El Lay might need to change it's nickname!!

As Barack Obama won four more years, marriage equality found major breakthroughs, and pot smokers rejoiced by binging on Cheetos, Los Angeles Country residents voted in new law specific to the porn industry!

Measure B requires porn companies to purchase more expensive safety permits and forces condom use in sex scenes. It passed, with 55.9% of voters supporting it.

YAY! Safe sex is good, right? …Right???

Of course safe sex is good!

The problem with this measure, argues the porn industry and the L.A. Times, is that porno films are already safe!

Strict screening measures exist to ensure that no participants are infected with STDs!!

All this measure does, they say, is add (unnecessary) condoms!

New Rule For The Oscars: Documentaries Must Be Reviewed By The LA Times Or NY Times To Qualify

Acadamy documentary rules change

Lame!

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences just seems to be making up rules left and right for the annual Academy Awards.

In the past they changed the rules so that MORE movies could be nominated in the Best Picture category, but now they're changing the rules so LESS documentaries can even be considered in the nomination process.

Starting next year, documentaries seeking the ultimate honor in film will have be reviewed by either the Los Angeles Times or New York Times.

Why the change? Academy COO Ric Robertson says there are just too many unworthy documentaries seeking a nomination, saying:
