Sherri Shepherd Suffers ANOTHER Legal Loss — Must Continue To Pay Child Support For Baby Born Via Surrogate
Looks like Sherri Shepherd's 2016 is going to be a pricey one.
On Tuesday, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that Sherri must continue to pay monthly child supports in the amount of $4,100 to her ex-husband Lamar Sally.
For those who don't know, the child support issue has been ongoing for a while and at times has become very nasty. Essentially, Shep believes herself not to be responsible for the baby boy (not biologically related), because her marriage dissolved around the time of conception.
The host says Lamar fraudulently went through with the surrogacy knowing full well that their union was over… she claims this is all about milking her dry for the next eighteen years.
On Sally's side, he claims the momma knew EXACTLY what she was getting into and argues a signed contract should force to uphold her side of the bargain. To add fire to his case, the little one was born BEFORE the marriage was legally over.
Luckily for Lamar, a judge agreed with his side of the story and declared the state of Pennsylvania will NOT hear Sherri's case. This is the first time in state history a surrogacy contract is binding.
So, do YOU agree with the judge's ruling?
