Last month, Phil Spector, who's serving 19 years to life in jail for the 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson, once again attempted to overturn his conviction on grounds that the trial judge swayed the jury by pointing out blood spots in a photo demonstration of the producer's home.

We were unimpressed by this move, especially because he was trying to get off on a technicality…not because of actual innocence!

On Monday, a California appeals court rejected Phil's appeal and issued a "81-page decision" on its reasoning for rejection!

Good luck countering the court's 81-page reason why you're still guilty, Phil!

We're sure you'll give it another shot, sooner or later.

Here he goes again!

Phil Spector, who is serving 19 years to life in the clink for the 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson, has once again attempted to overturn the conviction on grounds the trial judge swayed the jury by pointing out blood spots in a photo demonstration of the producer's home.

He maintains that the victim committed suicide, and has apparently, his lawyer, Dennis Riordan, has urged a state appellate panel to reconsider the evidence and Judge Larry Paul Fidler's behavior during the trial, which apparently defied his initial request to not use the photos in the prosecution's closing arguments.

Yuck. Especially because it sounds as though he's trying to get off on a technicality, and not because he's actually innocent!

Oh, boy.

Phil Spector is releasing an album with his wife and former Playboy model Rachelle Short that is due for release in June.

Spector produced the tracks for Rachelle before his sentencing last June after being convicted for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. Rachelle says, "I do lead vocals. My husband is so proud of me and I'm so proud of him for withstanding what he's withstanding."

Well NOW we see why she's still married to a convicted murderer!
