Ever since he finished filming the Transformers franchise, Shia LeBeouf has been getting pretty serious.

You can watch him play a Prohibition era bootlegger in Lawless this weekend and he's about to start bangin' on film in the next Lars von Trier movie, The Nymphomaniac. To add to his new image, we'll get to see him play an investigative journalist who exposes fugitive members of militant protest group The Weather Underground!

The 26-year-old stars alongside an incredible cast consisting of Hollywood veterans like Robert Redford, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Nick Nolte, Stanley Tucci, Julie Christi and Terrence Howard in The Company You Keep.

The first trailer for the drama (above) features LeBeouf in the center of it all after a story he writes causes Redford's character to go on the run from the law after 30 years in hiding.

It looks like a top-notch political thriller if U ask us and should definitely make the world take Louis Stevens a little more seriously.

Shia LaBeouf spoke with Chelsea Handler last night about his current sexed-up role in the upcoming Lars Von Trier film Nymphomaniac and you won't believe what he admitted!

Ch-ch-check out the snippet from the interview (above) as the star of the Transformers trilogy admits to shooting an unauthorized sex tape with his girlfriend Karolyn!

And then he MAILED a copy to the Nympho director in the hopes of snagging the role as lead sex panther!

Of course, judging by his body language, tone, and, well incessant giggling, we're pretty darned sure the actor was kidding!

Still, with Shia's bad trips, moonshine mayhem, and willingness to cheat on his girlfriend, we'd believe almost anything about this dude!!

Whoa! Big congrats to the cast and crew of Lars von Trier's Melancholia!

The film, starring Kirsten Dunst and ASkars (yum!) was named the Best Picture of the Year by the National Society of Film Critics.

Kirsten was also named best actress for her role in the film and Brad Pitt was named best actor for Moneyball.

Kirsten Dunst is gracing the cover of Manhattan for their November/December issue, and she looks beautiful!

As for the story that awaits on the inside, well, we hear it's pretty exciting.

Here's a little tease for ya! She talks Lars von Trier (the director who infamously said he sympathized with Hitler at Cannes):

He apologized, and obviously I forgave him. That’s just Lars, and he honestly, honestly didn’t mean what he said, but he just kept going, digging himself deeper.

Lars and Kirsten worked together on the upcoming Melancholia.
