Freedom of expression vs. cultural respect…
Ah, a timeless debate!
The above image of a woman in full Muslim dress (niquab & abaya) holding up a bra while doing laundry was SO offensive to some students at Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia, they asked a staff member to take it down!
The photo was
Nothing to be proud of, Josh Hutcherson.
The actor went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss his new movie Journey 2 with The Rock and let it slip that now that he lives in El Lay away from his mommy, his laundry doesn't get done.
Josh told Jimmy:
"I miss her in a lot of ways. In one of the bigger ways is my laundry. It doesn’t get done. Honestly, I have a giant pile of clothes in my room and I hope that she comes out often enough to clean it. That’s how I get by."
Way to appreciate your momma, Josh. This woman gave birth to you, for god's sake!!! Treat Her Right! And learn to put your clothes in the big white machine, add a cup of Tide, turn it on, and you're DONE. It isn't that hard…
LOL, no…but really… come on, now.
Ch-ch-check out Josh's sad admittance above.
Florida resident Cindy Lincoln finally joined the Facebook craze two months ago and it may have been one of the best decisions she ever made because it saved her life!
After waking up around midnight on Memorial Day to fold clothes, while her husband was out of town, Cindy suffered a nasty fall out of her chair in the laundry room and broke her femur bone.
Of course, her first thought was to call 911, however that wasn't an option, as she explained:
"To go up to the kitchen to the telephone, I would have had to go up a couple of steps and I knew I wasn't going to be able to do that."
With no phone, Cindy turned to the power of the internet and the instantaneous communication a social networking site like Facebook offers. In excruciating pain she inched her way toward a lap top sitting on a nearby desk and logged on to her recently opened account, then posted on a group only her family members can see, "Call 911, I need help."
It's moments like this when being addicted to Facebook is completely warranted, as just minutes later her daughter-in-law wrote, "ON MY WAY" and emergency services arrived.
Cindy is now on the road to recovery at her local hospital, but admits without Facebook she may not be alive. We hope she's busy writing a "thank you" letter not only to her daughter-in-law, but maybe Mark Zuckerberg as well!

Rob Zombie is probably best known as of late for being a horror director, and apparently, he's taken that aesthetic to a new medium - detergent commercials!
Check out his very creative ad for Woolite brand laundry detergent (above)!
Apparently, Zombie was going for a Tim Burton-esque, Addams Family vibe…and we think that it's actually very successful!
Full of atmosphere, but still very restrained!
Now if he could only have done that in any of his movies! Ha!
We'll be curious to see if other generic household products try to spice up their ad campaigns with similar commercials!
