Laura Dern is a dern good mom!

The Enlightened star was spotted picking up her young daughter Jaya Harper from school Wednesday.

Mama Laura and a friend from school both did their best to lighten the mood of the down-in-the-dumps Jaya, who must have had a bad day at school.

Or as we used to call it, a day at school!

How did she cheer her up? She pointed out a pregnant triceratops! Da doi!

Musician Ben Harper and actress Laura Dern's marriage has more plot twists than an a daytime soap opera!

Way back in 2010, the singer-songwriter filed divorce paperwork seeking custody of their two children!

But apparently Harper kept on stealing his kisses from Laura because the couple eventually reconciled!

Now she's the one calling it quits!!

The Jurassic Park star is evidently tired of sticking her hand into two-ton piles of triceratops poo Ben's shenanigans because she wants him to hit the road and leave his checkbook at the door!!

We just hope they remember there are kids involved before this gets too messy!

What on EFFING Earth?

Yet another naked man effed up on drugs caused a spot of bother for authorities yesterday, this time in EL Lay and outside the home of Orlando Bloom and his wife, Miranda Kerr!

According to police, they were called to the scene, which was also close-by the homes of Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Laura Dern and Will Ferrell, and found the still-unidentified man lying face down in the road. When approached, he apparently began screaming at the top of his lungs that he was high on drugs and dove head-first into bushes!

Thankfully, however, this man was apprehended and taken into custody.

Her first win, but not her last we think, for Enlightened!

Laura Dern just walked away for the Best Actress In A Comedy Series award at the Golden Globes.

Perhaps this will get more eyeballs to this show! If you're not watching Enlightened, you are sooo missing out!

Did you see her mom, Diane Ladd, crying? So sweet!

Wowsa! HBO's Laura Dern-starring show has come a loooong way since that series premiere!

Today, HBO announced plans to renew their critically popular show Enlightened for a second season…but they've decided to cancel Hung, Bored to Death, and How to Make It In America.

No HUGE surprise that these shows would get the axe! The network needs to make room for some of their new series, including Luck, Veep, Girls, Life's Too Short, and Angry Boys.

Should be interesting to see which of these new shows survive their first seasons! Judd Apatow's Girls looks pretty good to us, but he's got a bad track record with TV projects. Both Freaks and Geeks & Undeclared were cancelled after only ONE season!
