Wowsa! HBO's Laura Dern-starring show has come a loooong way since that series premiere!

Today, HBO announced plans to renew their critically popular show Enlightened for a second season…but they've decided to cancel Hung, Bored to Death, and How to Make It In America.

No HUGE surprise that these shows would get the axe! The network needs to make room for some of their new series, including Luck, Veep, Girls, Life's Too Short, and Angry Boys.

Should be interesting to see which of these new shows survive their first seasons! Judd Apatow's Girls looks pretty good to us, but he's got a bad track record with TV projects. Both Freaks and Geeks & Undeclared were cancelled after only ONE season!

Laura Dern and Ben Harper were seen enjoying a night together at the Bouchon in Beverly Hills.

The reunited couple announced they were divorcing in 2010, but it looks like some enlightenment did just the trick!

Point one for love!

HBO usually makes some winners, but Enlightened just isn't one of them, ratings wise at least!

The series premiere averaged 210,000 viewers Monday night at 9:30pm. This was following a 240,000 lead-in with Bored to Death.

The show revolves around Amy Jellicoe (played by Laura Dern) as she attempts to get her life back on track following a very public breakdown, followed by an "awakening" in rehab. Luke Wilson also stars.

It sounds like Eat, Pray, Love mixed with Celebrity Rehab. We're shocked nobody's interested!

They should get Tom Cruise next! He WAS in PT Anderson's film Magnolia. LOLz.

Okay, so Tom is probs not going to do this film or any film with Paul Thomas Anderson ever again, but we're pleased to report that Amy Adams is set to star in PTA's Scientology film!

Adams will star as the wife of Philip Seymour Hoffman's character, who has been described as "a man who returns from witnessing the horrors of WWII, and in an attempt to find himself, he forms a belief system that catches on in the 1950s."

Joaquin Phoenix has also been attached to the film as Hoffman's "right-hand man." Other actors in talks for the film include The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's Lena Endra and Laura Dern.

As we said before, this sounds like a very inneresting film, and we're excited to see Amy Adams on board! We know she'll be wonderful!

Such a nice gesture!

Late Hollywood legend Gregory Peck will be honored on Thursday, April 28 by the United States Postal Service and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at the First Day of Issue ceremony for a Gregory Peck Commemorative Stamp.

The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles' Samuel Goldwyn Theater, and it will be hosted by Sharon Stone. Other guests will include Laura Dern, Morgan Freeman, and singer Natalie Maines.

Peck's stamp marks the 17th entry into the Legends of Hollywood series, and it features the actor portraying Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird.

What a lovely way to pay tribute to such a phenomenal actor!

First, Ben Harper files for divorce. Then we see him and "sort of" ex Laura Dern being chummy with the kids. Now, he's amended his divorce petition!

What's going on here, Ben?

Originally, Ben's divorce petition listed his separation date as Jan 1, 2010, but last Friday he had his lawyer change the separation date to July 1, 2010!

What's the deal, Ben? For Laura's sake, and your kids' sakes, be upfront about things!

Please avoid the drama, bb! Your family deserves that much.

Or are they back together??

They filed for divorce last month, but Ben Harper and Laura Dern, spotted with the family in Brentwood, CA, seem to be chummy-chummy with each other. Could it be that they've reconciled?

Or maybe they're just putting up a happy front for their two children, 9-year-old Ellery and 5-year-old Jaya.

Whichever it is, we hope these two can work it out. Especially for the kids.
