Lauren Conrad's been bitten by the beauty bug!

The former reality star announced this week she's following up her Lauren Conrad Style book with Lauren Conrad Beauty.

LC wrote on her blog:

"…My beauty book will be your ultimate guide for all things beauty. In it, I’ll provide my personal insights, instructions and tips to keep you looking glamorous 365 days a year. I’ll address everything from how your diet affects skincare and fun hairstyles for a night out to one simple thing you can do each day to freshen up your look."

Now it all makes sense!

Lauren's slowly elbowed her way into the beauty world with the launch of the Beauty Department website in April. She also has a line of beauty products in the works, so really a book is the next logical step.

Smart girl.

On October 5th, Lauren Conrad will be releasing her own style-guide that "reveals how you can adapt her classic, understated style for yourself".

For the 12 people that are actually excited about it, the book's publisher Harper Teen has released the first three chapters online, which includes pictures of LC modeling clothes while making weird faces.

At least these pictures aren't as atrocious as the cover.

And it's just downright scary!

Naturally, Lauren Conrad is on the cover of her upcoming book Lauren Conrad Style giving buyers a creepy death stare.

It would have been MUCH better if the cover showed the girl actually smiling and showing off her style rather than a cropped headshot that doesn't even show what she's wearing.
