Jim Carrey Wrongful Death Lawsuit Finally Dismissed

jim carrey lawsuit dismissed

Good news for Jim Carrey.

The wrongful death lawsuit brought against the comedian by ex-girlfriend Cathriona White's family has been dismissed.

As you may recall, White's mother and estranged husband rallied together to sue the celebrated actor as they claimed Jim gave the late makeup artist STDs AND provided the drugs she used to take her life in September 2015.

As these were SERIOUS accusations, we're certain Carrey is thrilled to move past this legal drama. In fact, his lawyer noted to the press:

"Jim is looking forward to moving on with his life now."

We bet.

Hopefully, now they can all just focus on mourning Cathriona's passing.

Kim Kardashian & Kris Jenner Come Out On Top In Legal Battle Against Blac Chyna!

Rob Kardashian isn't in the clear... yet!

Blac Chyna is going to need to rethink her strategy!

The former Rob & Chyna star has been battling it out in court with Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Rob Kardashian over her claims the family put an end to the E! reality show!

On Thursday, it was revealed by TMZ that a judge decided to dismiss the momager and her daughter from the lawsuit!

Taking the Kardashians' side, it was ruled that because the mom of two was only in negotiations with the network and didn't have a contract, there was no contract for the famous fam to interfere with.

She still has the opportunity to sue them in the future if she has a new case though!

So while Kimmy and Kris are good-to-go for now, Chyna's lawsuit against her baby daddy still stands, despite him claiming it would be impossible for them to continue with season two when she has a restraining order against him.

Blac Chyna's lawyer Lisa Bloom is probably already hard at work so they don't lose out on that case, too!

Yet another Oscar winner accused of sexual misconduct.

On December 15, a publicist identified as Haleigh Breest filed a civil suit against Paul Haggis, who famously (or infamously) wrote and directed the 2006 Best Picture winner Crash.

Breest says Haggis was giving her a ride home after a 2013 movie premiere but brought her to his apartment instead, and invited her up for a drink. She says after she accepted out of politeness he became "sexually aggressive" and forced her into a bedroom where he made her perform oral sex and raped her.

She says she woke up and immediately got herself tested for STDs before telling multiple friends and her psychologist.

Following news of the legal action, three more women have come forward to speak to Breest's attorneys, giving anonymous interviews to the Associated Press, per The Hollywood Reporter, in which they detailed very similar stories of sexual assault between 1996 and 2015.

Comedian Sued For Sexism Over 'No Boys Allowed' Show!

When we first heard about a lawsuit aimed at standup comic Iliza Shlesinger for doing a girls-only show, we thought it was merely some more dumb man-baby bullshit.

But the more we see from George St. George's suit, the more it seems downright offensive!

In his lawsuit, St. George claims he bought two tickets for Girls Night with Iliza — No Boys Allowed — and was told he would have to sit in the back because it was a women-only show. Then he and his friend left for dinner and returned to find the theater had decided instead not to allow men at all, immediately offering St. George a refund.
