We're still pretty worked up over the death of former Disney star Lee Thompson Young, as he had so much talent and sounded like a very passionate and caring person. We are so sad that he made the decision to take his own life.
According to the official death certificate that was just released, it was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He used a handgun and did NOT leave a suicide note.
At 29 years old, it really doesn't matter how it happened, because it did happen: it was tragic no matter what was used.
If you or anyone you know happens to be suffering from depression — no matter how small it may seem — please urge them to reach out to a professional. There ARE options!

On Monday morning after Lee didn't show up to the set, producers called his landlord. He was later found dead in his apartment of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Lee's long-time manager Jonathan Baruch confirmed the suicide in a statement, saying:
Lee Thompson Young was only 29!
This hurts our heart so much. The up-and-coming actor made his Hollywood debut on Disney's The Famous Jett Jackson, after which he sprang into the big screen with Friday Night Lights.
The star didn't show up to work this morning, when TNT's Rizzoli & Isles staffers thought it best to call his landlord (a piece of information that suggests his co-workers may have been suspect to whatever problems may be to blame).
