French Court Overturns Controversial Burkini Ban After Overwhelming International Outrage!

no title

Amazing news!!!

After being challenged by rights groups, France's highest administrative court overturned a controversial ban on the burkini in a coastal town!

The ruling from the state council on Friday specifically pertains to the southeastern town of Villeneuve-Loubet — lifting the ban of the single piece, head covering swimsuit designed for Muslim women — but sets a legal precedent for the roughly 30 towns that have issued similar bans.

Human Rights League lawyer Patrice Spinosi told press that other mayors who banned the outfit must follow the ruling, and that women who have been fined for wearing burkinis can now challenge the penalties.

The state council ruled that the mayor of the southern resort town did not have a right to issue a ban, noting that authorities could only restrict individual liberties if there was a "proven risk."

Former RHOC Star Lauri Peterson's Son Pleads Not Guilty In Attempted Murder Case

no title

On Friday, former Real Housewives star Lauri Peterson's son — Josh Waring — plead not guilty to 12 charges in his attempted murder case.

As we reported in June, the troubled reality TV star was arrested after he allegedly shot Daniel Lopez in the torso around 2:30 a.m. at a sober living home. After the altercation, Waring attempted to flee the scene in a stolen BMW SUV where he crashed, tried to escape on foot, and eventually surrendered himself to authorities.

He was charged with three counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a firearm and one count each of discharging a firearm at an inhabited dwelling, assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, unlawful taking of a vehicle, evading a peace officer/reckless driving, hit and run with property damage, resisting a public or peace officer, and battery.

His current bail is set at $1 million.

Back in May, the Bravo personality pled not guilty to drug and forgery charges. He's also been involved in various drug cases between 2008 and 2016.

During season three of RHOC, Josh sought treatment at a rehab facility.

We just hope justice is brought down on anyone who breaks the law.

It looks like authorities in Rio are serious about holding Ryan Lochte accountable!

According to TMZ, police in the 2016 Olympic city have officially charged Ryan with filing a false police report on August 14. The news comes on the heels of rampant speculation as to whether or not cops would punish Lochte for using a fake robbery story to cover up his act of vandalism at a gas station.

If convicted of the crime, the swimmer could face up to six-months in jail.

As for the likelihood of R.L. physically spending time behind bars, the possibility is slim to none. Sources close to the athlete swear he'll never go back to Rio, and unfortunately he can't be extradited back to Brazil for the offense.

For those who want to see the 32-year-old held accountable, it looks like they'll have to find solace in his recently lost endorsements.

We'll keep you updated as this case progresses!

A former actor who played an abusive boyfriend on Degrassi High has been charged with multiple child porn and bestiality offenses after an eight-month investigation.

Jason (Byrd) Dickens is facing 26 charges — including sexual assault; producing, accessing and possessing child pornography; and bestiality — in what investigators are calling a "very serious" child exploitation case.

The probe was kicked off in January, after authorities were tipped about a man uploading child porn online. Three women also face criminal charges related to child pornography and sexual assault, including Dickens' spouse Dylan Anne McEwen.

Homophobic Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For Pouring Boiling Water On Gay Couple — Get The Horrific Details

no title

Disgusting.

A Georgia truck driver was sentenced to 40 years in prison for pouring boiling water over a gay couple.

On Wednesday, Martin Blackwell was convicted by a jury of 10 charges of aggravated battery, as well as aggravated assault.

According to a spokesperson for Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard Jr., Blackwell told police he boiled water and poured it over Anthony Gooden Jr. and Marquez Tolbert while they were asleep because he was repulsed by their relationship.

The hate crime occurred in February in the College Park apartment of Gooden's mother Kim Foster — who was dating Blackwell for three years at the time.

Prosecutors said that after the attack, both victims required skin grafts and were hospitalized for second and third degree burns.

Gooden spent nearly a month in the hospital, including two weeks in a medically induced coma.

This is sickening. We're glad justice was served and this violent bigot will spend his life behind bars, and hope this act provides some relief to the victims.
