It's been a loooooong 16 months, but it sounds like Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are finally pushing ahead with their divorce.

Though Ashton filed divorce papers in December, a year after the couple split, sources say that Demi is having her legal team make a move today to file paperwork in L.A. If this does come to pass, this will be the first time that Demi makes a definitive response to their falling out — but it also means the pair could be headed to trial.

During this long stretch of limbo time, Demi has been hoping to quietly negotiate a confidential settlement, one that will be equally benefit she and Ashton. Now, it seems she's done playing nice and wants to get this thing over and done with NOW. A source explains:
