what it is is beautiful

They sure did things differently back then!

And while there are lots of 80s fads that we're glad to be rid of — this ad is NOT one of them!

An ad for LEGO has made us nostalgic for the the 1980s, and it's really quite something!

The CUTEST little girl, with red hair and an adorable little smile, is holding up a new boxed up LEGO set while the words that appear under read:

"What it is is beautiful."

Wow! A wave of nostalgia just hit us with a sledge hammer! Take us back to those simple times some LEGO toys and some good music was all we'd need! No need for pink-colored toys or pink-colored outfits to signify that she's advertising a "girl's" toy. Just simple ol' legos for all genders!

In case that fantastic piece of art wasn't enough for ya…

Introducing… Lord of the Rings Legos!!

Filed under: Film FlickersStuff 4 Kidz

Lord of the Rings

Lord of the Rings lego

So precious!

Today Lego and Warner Bros. Consumer Products unveiled their newest toy line: Lord of the Rings Legos!

This is prefect, cause nerds LOVE passing their obsessions onto their offspring AND miniatures!

Good new for film geeks too! The toys are based off the popular Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings film trilogy. We're sure a few books will complain about the film's influence over the toy's look, and we're sure the rich toy company is all torn up about it.

Lego has the rights to make toys based off all the past and upcoming film adaptations of the J.R.R. Tolkien classics.

That means we can look forward to toddlers swallowing Legos styled after the The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again movies in the near future!
