A huge proponent of environmental conservation, the 41-year-old actor is on a trip in Indonesia this week to support the fight against deforestation.
The El Lay native took to his Instagram account on Monday to share a snap of him posing with two endangered elephants, while announcing that The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation is working to create a "mega-fauna sanctuary in the Leuser Ecosystem."
This particular ecosystem is the "last place on Earth" where elephants, orangutans, tigers, and rhinos coexist. Not only that, but it also supplies clean water to local citizens and its watersheds protect the area from natural disasters.
