Kimberly and Lexi Smiley have been granted an extension by LeAnn Rimes' lawyer so they can find proper representation, but the defendants may have just gotten another lucky break too.

There is apparently a secret witness out there that was close enough to Rimes to receive text messages from her that could damage her case against the Smileys.

The witness claims the country singer actually asked her Twitter followers to send Brandi Glanville's supporters nasty messages!

Guess that phone call LeAnn Rimes made to a Twitter follower actually happened because the singer is suing the woman on the other end of the line!

A Northern California teacher told sources that she was surprised to pick up her phone last March and hear LeAnn's voice saying:

"Hey bitch, this is LeAnn you have 5 minutes to say whatever you want to me!"
