Warner Bros Adds Inception, Harry Potter, And Other Movies To Facebook Rental Service

warner bros brings more movies to facebook

Earlier this month, Warner Bros teamed up with Facebook to feature a streaming movie rental service on the social networking site, which debuted with The Dark Knight.

Now, those of you who still have some "Facebook credits" left over will have even more rental options, as WB is adding the following movies to their rental service:

Inception, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Life as We Know It, and Yogi Bear

Here's what President of Warner Bros. Digital Distribution Thomas Gewecke had to say about it:

“We’re pleased to expand our test with a variety of titles that will appeal to a broad audience."

“These titles have substantial followings on Facebook. The Fan Pages for Harry Potter and Inception alone are two of the most popular and active communities on the site.”

We're thinking lots of the hardcore Harry Potter/Inception fans might already own the movies on blu-ray/DVD, but we suppose it's nice to know that the option is out there!

Will U rent any of these movies on Facebook?

Jackass 3D Smashes The Box Office Competition This Weekend

People love to be grossed out!

Believe it or not, Jackass 3D is a major hit! After 10 years and three movies, the third installment made over $50 million in its opening weekend, which far exceeded the film's expectations.

Even taking into account inflation and new ticket surcharges, the film earned more than its two predecessors, which is sure to make the people at Paramount Pictures very happy since the film was fairly cheap to make in comparison to most Hollywood blockbusters.

Bruce Willis' Red came in number 2 making a decent $22.5 million.

Secretariat was still going strong in its third week, making $9.5 million, while the romantic comedy Life As We Know It came in 4th with $9.2 million.

The Social Network Is Still #1!

Whoa, this movie is still going strong!

The Social Network barely dropped in its second weekend at the box office, making $15.9 million. It is the "best hold for a 2nd weekend of any #1 opening this year." And that's including this year's hit, Inception!

Second place went to Life As We Know It, which is probably the highest this movie is going to get. Aren't we all a little tired of Katherine Heigl's rom-coms by now???

Secretariat came in #3, followed by the owl movie, Legends of the Guardian, and Wes Craven's My Soul To Take 3D to round out the top 5.

What did U see this weekend??

Katherine Heigl Has An Image Problem

And she admits it!

While doing press for her new movie Life As We Know It, interviewers were asked to "please keep the questions strictly about the movie and her charity," but KTLA's Sam Rubin ignored the request and got an insightful interview from actress Katherine Heigl.

Watch the video (above) to see what Katherine is doing about her "image problem."

She actually seems sincere!

Looking Good, Katherine!

We're impressed!

After multiple red carpet fails, Katherine Heigl finally got it right at the Thursday night premiere of her new flick Life As We Know It.

The sometimes diva walked the New York red carpet in a deep red colored David Meister dress that she paired with crystal accented René Caovilla heels.

Bravo, Katherine. Keep this stylist, please.
