Wow! We're surprised they didn't think to do this earlier!
Although pretty much every advertiser has abandoned MTV's Skins due to its controversial
and mediocre first two episodes, there does seem to be ONE potential company interested in helping MTV fill the commercial breaks with ads that aren't promos for Teen Mom or I Used To Be Fat - LifeStyle Condoms!
A representative explains:
“We are considering advertising during 'Skins', as it provides the opportunity to impart a responsible message about safe sex to an audience who clearly needs to understand the implications of their actions. [Teens] can and should be protecting themselves and their partners.”
Although we doubt that MTV is going to pass up this opportunity, we are a bit pleased to hear that LifeStyle's intentions are purely based out of the need to promote safe sex with teens!
Maybe there will be hope for this show yet!
