Linkin Park Sings Our Brains With Burn It Down Lyric Video!

Looks like Linkin Park's blazing a new musical path with this song!

The band's newest single, Burn It Down was just released from the group's upcoming album, Living Things.

…kinda counter-productive to burn living things, right? LOLz!

We absolutely love this new song and can't want to get us a piece of the whole enchilada when the LP drops June 26th.

Thoughts? Are U liking the new track?!?!

Chester From Linkin Park On Their Earthquake Relief Show

Chester Linkin Park Charity Japan

We love it when people use their fame and popularity (and kick ass music) to support worthy causes!

So, naturally, we loved it when we heard that Linkin Park played an intimate concert (we're talking 1,100 people, so, intimate for Linkin Park) that raised money for an earthquake/tsunami relief fund for Japan!

Chester opened up about it:

"It's a really exciting night tonight. We're performing a show with he B'z from Japan, [the] biggest rock band in Japanese history. It's an honor to be able to play with these guys, and it's especially an honor to be able to give back to the Japanese community that's been so devastated and been so great in supporting us."

The whole show was kind of put on by fans — and by that, we mean to get tickets the fans had to raise $500 for the tsunami relief fund for a pair of tickets! So if you do the math, about 550 people raised AT LEAST $500 dollars for the fund!

"We wanted to do something where we kind of engaged our fans to give money, because we're always asking them to give money all the time because unfortunately, there are natural disasters affecting so many places all over the earth that we're always asking our fans for money," explained Bennington of the group's ongoing fundraising efforts. "We wanted to do something that was exciting for our fans and gave them something to look forward to, a goal that was beyond anything they'd done before."

"We set a goal that we thought was pretty high, at $250,000, and amazingly our fans — from both Linkin Park and B'z — have generated over $350,000 in 60 days," he said. "Which is unbelievable considering not only the devastation in Japan but also the economic struggles people are having here in the U.S. as well." In fact, he said proudly, the top fundraiser brought in more than $13,000.

$13k is incredible! That fan really did their part, and it's an inspiration for sure!

This is such a good idea for the continuing effort in Japan. It's a shame how many natural disasters happen, and so quickly, as our attention gets diverted really easily from one to the next.

Linkin Park was at the LPU Summit Hamburg last week and put together an awesome acoustic performance that everyone just loved!

Check out the video (above) to hear Mike and Chester bust out Adele's Rolling In The Deep for a crowd of excited fans!

Fans, we might add, who seriously have ZERO rhythm. All that clapping … what a MESS!

BTW - if you are an artist, you better jump on this Rolling bandwagon quick! It's going to get old in 3…2…1..

Linkin Park Cancels Concert Due To Illness

Linkin Park Cancels Concert Due To Illness

Linkin Park fans all hate Chester Bennington’s (lead singer of Linkin Park) doctor right now.

Chester is under doctor’s orders to refrain from performing and, as a result, the band had to cancel tonight’s concert in Washington DC.

A statement from the band read:

"Lead vocalist Chester Bennington is ill and under doctor's orders to refrain from performing. The band sincerely regrets this unavoidable cancellation and apologizes to fans for any disappointment caused."

Hopefully the band will do a make-up concert!

Linkin Park Concertgoers To Receive Oxymoronic Official Bootlegs For Free!

linkin park to give free official bootlegs to fans

Their free-gift terminology may not make sense, but this is still pretty exciting for Linkin Park fans.

The rock group will be giving away free "official bootlegs" of their upcoming shows to anybody who attends their concerts.

All you'll have to do to get your free gift is send a text message with a "short code displayed at each venue." Links to the concert sort of bootlegs will be sent via e-mail after the shows.

Here's what Linkin Park bassist Dave Farrell had to say about it:

"The energy we get from our fans is what makes a great show. We wanted to show our appreciation by giving that experience back to them."

Bravo, Linkin Park!

Always nice when a band takes extra steps to please their fans. We approve!
