The thing about hockey is that when you fall, you don't fall off of something, right? That's such a wimpy way to play!

Plus with the NHL lockout and everything, it's imperative that we find a suitable replacement for the sport. We have found it. And it is more than suitable.

Wow… things are getting really bad!

The NHL has CANCELLED the Winter Classic!

If you're unfamiliar, the Winter Classic is a hockey game that they play outdoors in a stadium in winter in one of the colder states.

This year, Michigan Stadium was supposed to host the game…but not anymore.

NHL Lockout: Day 41 - Crew morale is low. Supplies are dwindling. Nothing is on the horizon but darkness.

Okay, it's not that bleak, but still, things aren't looking good.

The NHL is pulling their latest proposal.

The NHL's deputy commissioner just said via email:

Brooklyn is just scooping up all the sports teams!

They stole the Nets from New Jersey and now they're taking the Islanders from Long Island in 2015!

That is if the lockout ever ends and there still is hockey in 2015. LOLz!

Apparently, the Islanders' old stadium, the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, is falling apart.

So they'll be moving to Barclays Center in Brooklyn!

We just previously mentioned that the NHLPA declined the NHL's 50-50 revenue split offer and the NHL turned down all their counter-offers.

So the NHL has canceled 135 games through November 1st.

That's 11% of the season!

Finally! Some friggin progress!

As we previously mentioned, the NHL and the NHLPA (player's association) have been butting heads over who gets what cut of the revenue.

As of last season, players were getting a 57% cut of the revenue brought in by the NHL.

The NHL wanted to cut that down to 43%!

So of course they had trouble reaching middle ground.

Finally though, it's looking like the lockout might be ending soon.

The NHL and locked-out players' union are gonna take another crack at it tomorrow, and spark up negotiations again. This is after a four day break.

FOUR DAYS?

An agenda is not yet set for the talks that shift to the union's office — you'd totally think they'd want to talk for more than two days at a time and then have a bunch off. Don't they know they're on a timeline??
