It was ALL about Wahlberg over the long weekend!

Earlier today, we reported that Mark Wahlberg's Contraband brought in $24.1 million this weekend, landing it the #1 spot at the box office ahead of Beauty and the Beast 3D, which earned $18.5 mill and a second place position.

Now, we've learned that Contraband was STILL #1 for the long holiday weekend, and it's brought in a total of $28.8 million for its four days in release! Wowsa!

Beast ended up in 2nd place with $23.5 mill, which is the BEST January opening for an animated film EVER!!!!!

This would be a FANTASTIC Independence Day treat!

Earlier this month, the official tracklist was released for Jay-Z and Kanye West's upcoming collaborative album Watch the Throne, and were VERY excited…especially for their collaboration with both Beyonce AND Bruno Mars!

Now, we're hearing rumors that the album may be released on July 4th. The rumors stem from a report released by The Source earlier this month.

It sounds like it's getting serious!

Things are reportedly heating up between Christina Aguilera and her new man, Matt Rutler, and the singer even left her son with ex-husband Jordan Bratman to spend the long holiday weekend in the Burlesque production assistant's native Rhode Island - and to meet his family!

A source explains:

"This is the first Thanksgiving she was without Max. It was really hard for her and she was feeling sad, so she decided to go to the East Coast with Matt and a group of friends. Since his family lives so close, they decided to drop in for a few hours. They’re still getting to know each other better."

Wow! That's a pretty big step!

We wonder if this rebound is going to turn into the real deal! You don't just go home to meet Mom for funsies!
