The words exchanged between George Lopez and Kirstie Alley have not been nice by any kind of measure, but Lopez is now extending an olive branch to see if he can't make things right.
Among apologizes, he's also given out an invitation to be on his show, so he can properly make sure things are okay.
Lopez had this to say:
”[It was] poor judgment. As they say in my world of golf, ‘bad form on my part. I’ve apologized. I think she’s accepted my (?) apology, I wish that she had and that she would be guest on ‘Lopez Tonight,’” the comedian continued. “I would love to have her on. Listen, she has a lot of fans and when you make a joke of that type, um, it never goes over well."
It really is nice to see him try and diffuse the situation so quickly. It was out of line what he said, and she responded at his own level. It's great to see some recognition that there were mistakes.
We don't necessarily think she has to accept his offer, though it would be nice, and we hope that the offer itself is enough to get them back on okay grounds.
Should she accept and go on his show? Let us know what U think!
