This Sunday, July 24th, will be the first day that same-sex marriage will be legal in New York City, and apparently, there are so many couples that have applied for the union on that day - over 2,661 online marriage applications - that the city has been forced to institute a lottery system to select the 764 couples it can feasibly do that day!

Any Costco employees who didn't join that pool must be KICKING themselves right now!

20 workers at a Long Island Costco each put in $5 toward the lottery, and the group just won a $201.9 million Powerball jackpot! WOWSA!

The winning employees went for a lump sum payout instead of receiving winnings over a 20-year period, so they'll be bringing home $70.2 million after taxes.

No word yet on whether or not there will be massive job fair at their Costco soon, because the group hasn't decided if they're going to quit their jobs or not.

Here's what winner Kim Karkota had to say about it:

“We’re all dedicated to making our money last, and just to breathe easy and have a happy life."

That's certainly mature thinking, but def do SOMETHING fun with that money too! Perhaps a Hawaii vacation with loved ones?

…OR they could go on a massive shopping spree and buy out EVERYTHING from their Costco! Gotta love those oversized barrels of cheese balls. Ha!

What would U do with $3.51 million??? And yes, that's 1/20th of $70.2 mil.

Birds are falling from the sky! Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal broke up! And NOW, the infamous LOST numbers are the Mega Millions winner?

If it were currently 2012, we'd be PRETTY freaked out right now. LOLs.

Aside from one or two slight deviations, Hurley's "cursed" numbers from LOST were the Mega Millions winner last night, with a jackpot of $355 million!

We wonder if bizarre things will start happening to the two winners. Then again, they just won $355 million…what could be more bizarre than that???

A lucky break!

Rikers Island prison guard Garina Fearon just made the luckiest mistake of her life.

Last month, she went to a bodega to buy a Powerball lottery ticket, but by accident got a Mega Millions….which ended up with her winning the millions!

Fearon was all smiles yesterday at the Downtown Brooklyn Marriott where she went to collect her check!

Six years ago Fearon was down to her last $25 before filing for bankruptcy, and now she is collecting a check for $22,723,873 after taxes (she opted for the lump sum).

Before working at Riker’s she was poverty stricken and had spent most of her life in homeless shelters. She credits her career at the Correctional Facilit for helping her turn her life around.

This is the main reason why she is not ready to say goodbye to her job quite yet. "I don't have the heart to say I'm leaving now — I'm going to take my time and think it over."

WOW! Things are about to change for you girl!!!
