dancing with the stars bindi irwin derek hough dirty dancing

Movies are great inspiration!

Bindi Irwin has been killing it the last few weeks on Dancing With The Stars and last night was no different.

Miz Irwin and her partner Derek Hough had to do a rumba last night so OF COURSE they decided to mix in a little Dirty Dancing – and yes, they did the lift!

Not only did they do a great impression of Baby and Johnny, but they got a standing ovation from the crowd and received a perfect score from the judges (below)!

But there was another film inspired dance last night that we can't stop thinking about — Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson's Magic Mike routine!

Carlos took the stage — along with a few other studs — to strip down and get their grind on to Ginuwine's Pony.

The dances were so good we almost forgot all about Paula Deen and Louis van Amstel being sent home.

Ch-ch-check out the AH-Mazing dances (below) and let us know who you're rooting for to bring home the mirrorball trophy!

Louis Van Amstel Blames Margaret Cho's Gay Pride Message For Losing DWTS!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayMargaret ChoReality TVLGBT

That is just not fair!

Margaret Cho's Dancing with the Stars partner Louis van Amstel blames the comedian's gay pride themed performance for being booted off the show.

van Amstel said:

I "had a breakdown the next day. I felt horrible.

That was not the story we planned to tell. That was not my message. Maybe it was Margaret's message, but not mine. The minute it was about gay pride, I knew we were gone.

But if I would have said something then and there. I would have looked like an a******. The damage was done." We had "a long, serious conversation about it the following day because I couldn't let it go. I was so unhappy. She felt, 'Yes, we've got to make a statement. We've got that one moment in time with 23 million people watching, we've got to take it.'

I disagreed with it. I think you change people's minds by being you — not by provoking, being angry at the world.

One of the people who actually changed my mind was Morgan Freeman. He said, 'If we take all the labels away, that's when we will change this world.' I live by that idea. I live by it.

If I have to label myself, yes, I'm gay, and I'm proud of who I am and comfortable with myself and my lifestyle. But I don't want to be limited by that; I don't want to be put into a box. I don't want to be labeled in any way because labeling is the beginning of discrimination and hatred.

For being fat and then for being gay. It makes you very introverted, makes you very quiet. I used that to be creative."

Good point, but we doubt that it was Margaret's message that got you guys kicked off! If that was true, we'd be very disappointed.

Stand tall, honey.

Margaret Cho Shares Her Struggle With Bullying!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayInspirationMargaret ChoLGBT

margaret cho and louis van amstel share their stories about bullying after dancing with the stars

See! It happens to everyone! You are so not alone!

Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, who are kicking ass and taking names on Dancing With The Stars, explained their background with bullying and how they was very "scared" and "insecure" growing up after the show last night.

For Margaret, the recent string of suicides of gay youth because of bullying brought back memories from when she was a teenager. She admits was bullied "a lot", to the point that she also felt like she "didn't want to live." But she pulled through and she wants others to know they will too. That's why she and Louis decided to dedicate their samba to the families and children lost to bullying. She explained:

"It's about having pride in who you are and that's why we wore the rainbow colors, because we want to talk about pride. We want to just really, really express that in ourselves and impart that to the world."

For Louis, he explained he was teased from the very young age of 10 because of his love of dance, but it was because of his talent that he found strength to persevere. He explains:

"I've been bullied for being gay when [I was] 10 years old because I loved dance. You just have to find out what you're really good at. Put your mind, body and soul into that. For me, it was dance, and it was great therapy."

Agreed! Everyone is good at something and everyone is important and special!

Just keep telling yourself that and remember that it does get better!
