Last night, Nelson Mandela was admitted into the hospital after experiencing problems with his ongoing lung infection, and after being worried about his health, reports are stating that he's doing well!

Phew!!

While Mandela is currently in a Pretoria, South African hospital, the presidency wanted everyone to know that Nelson is fighting for his health, he said:

In December, Nelson Mandela was hospitalized for his ongoing lung infection and gallstones, and now, he's unfortunately back in the hospital.

Mandela was admitted last night, and is currently under the care of doctors on a "continuous basis."

The former South Africa president's spokesman Mac Maharaj opened up about Nelson's state, he said:

Nelson Mandela May Have Pneumonia!

Nelson Mandela is currently being treated for a lung infection, which is basically pneumonia.

South African officials said that Mandela's infection is "recurring."

He is 94-years-old and at that age, it's very easy for fluid to build up in the lungs.

The cough response is decreased in the elderly, making it easy to breathe in some saliva and just have it sit in your lungs, growing bacteria.
