Was Wonder Woman Star Lynda Carter Sexually Abused By Bill Cosby???

no title

Lynda Carter came forward with her own #MeToo story on Monday — but did she tell us more than she said out loud??

In an interview with The Daily Beast, the original Wonder Woman revealed she too had been the victim of sexual abuse but refused to come out and say who her abuser was.

She did, however, give some big clues, starting with the fact he's currently facing consequences and had violated "a lot of people." She said:

"He's already being done in. There's no advantage in piling on again."

But then, apparently apropos of nothing, she added:

Lynda Carter Hits Back At James Cameron's 'Thuggish' Wonder Woman Criticism!

She don't need no lasso to speak the truth!

James Cameron has gotten a lot of attention — and backlash — over his criticism that Wonder Woman was "a step backwards" for female led action movies basically because Gal Gadot is too sexy in it.

The Avatar director doubled down on his stance earlier this week, adding that Gadot's Diana Prince was used as "a sex object" and, therefore, wasn't nearly as feminist as Linda Hamilton's gritty Sarah Connor of the Terminator series.

Well, someone who knows a thing or two about playing a female superhero has a scathing response to the filmmaker's "thuggish" comments: OG Wonder Woman Lynda Carter!

The actress, who played the demigod in the ‘70s TV series, took to her Facebook page to call out the "poor soul" for trying to detract from the success of the blockbuster and director Patty Jenkins.

Echoing Jenkins' rebuttal that a "there is no right and wrong kind of powerful woman," Carter wrote:

VOTE: Wonder Woman Is The Wonder DC Comics Has Been Waiting For — Will YOU Be Checking Out Gal Gadot In Theaters??

no title

In the dark, dreary world of superhero blockbusters, it's about time Warner Bros. got it right!!!

And who would've guessed in the overcrowded boys club that is the superhero genre, it would be the female-led, female-directed Wonder Woman to hit the sweet spot of kick-assery and humanity in the DC Comics Extended Universe.

That's what the critics took away from Patty Jenkins' glorious film, which kicks off Gal Gadot's heroic AF origin story as the anti-war demigoddess, Diana of Themyscira.

While the action-packed film is an Amazonian departure from the cheesy ‘70s TV series starring Lynda Carter, critics praised Wonder Woman for balancing feminism, romance (hello, Chris Pine!), humor, and gory battle scenes in a (mostly) cohesive two-and-a-half-hour epic.

Unlike the recent films of her DC peers Batman and Superman, Wonder Woman's origin story brings back the feel-good superhero movie with an outstanding lead, a playful world, and a timely enemy to defeat: the God of War.

Ch-ch-check out the overwhelmingly positive reviews in our roundup (below) — and VOTE if you'll be seeing Wonder Woman in theaters Friday!

Wonder Woman's Shorts WILL Return!

Overly concerned Wonder Woman fans will be happy to know that the superhero's iconic shorts will be gracing Adrianne Palicki's behind throughout NBC's new series.

The network's president Robert Greenblatt set the record straight during an interview with TV Line:

"There was an initial outcry about the long pants—you know, skintight pants as opposed to those little shorts [worn by Lynda Carter in the original TV series], but the shorts were always planned. They are actually used in the final confrontation when she beats Veronica Cale [Elizabeth Hurley]."

Glad we got that little detail settled.
