We can finally get excited!!

Kate Winslet has been rumored for months now to be cast in Divergent, and after a whole lot of teasing, it’s official!

The actress will be joining an AH-Mazing cast that includes Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jai Courtney, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort and Maggie Q.

But the best part about her casting is that it’s in a totally unexpected role!

Instead of playing a heroin-type character like we would expect our sweet Kate to do, she’ll be downright villainous!

Kate has been cast as Jeanine Matthews in the film which has us just waiting on the edge of our seats to see how bada** she will be.

We must admit, we are so happy this casting rumor turned out to be true!

Now, time for the waiting game…

We've been waiting with bated breath for any any update on casting for the upcoming film adaptation of Divergent, and we FINALLY have some news!

Jai Courtney, who recently played John McClane's hunky son in A Good Die To Die Hard will be playing Dauntless leader, Eric. Yippee-kay-yay, indeed!

The official Twitter account for the movie confirmed this earlier when they tweeted:

We lap ANY Divergent news up like it was life-giving MILK!

Now that we know Shailene Woodley is playing Beatrice "Tris" Prior in the film adaptation of post-apocalyptic teen novel Divergent AND that Kate Winslet has signed on to the project, we've been DYING to know who else will join this inevitably EPIC production…

And, thankfully, three more roles have been cast!

Nikita actress Maggie Q will play Tori, Lenny Kravitz's daughter Zoe Kravitz will depict Christina, and the VERY handsome Ansel Elgort will embody Tris' brother Caleb.

BUT, Lenny K's daughter isn't the only one bringing in the Hunger Games connection, as rumor has it that Alexander Ludwig AKA Cato(!) has screen tested for the part of Tobias "Four" Eaton!

In a since deleted tweet, Alex reportedly wrote:

Good news CW fans!

The network has given a second season to Hellcats and Nikita, as well as picking up their veteran show One Tree Hill.

No word yet on whether or not the CW plans to pick up Life Unexpected, however they have picked up a couple scripts for the show, which could mean good news.

CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff spoke of the pick ups, saying:

"This fall, The CW made several strategic scheduling moves, including adding two of the most buzzed-about new series, Hellcats and Nikita, to our line-up, and we’re thrilled that they’ve paid off for us. By giving our two freshman series and proven performer One Tree Hill full orders, we’ll be able to continue our success and momentum throughout the rest of the season."

But what about Vampire Diaries?? CW has to pick it up, right?? RIGHT?!?!
