Our favorite Bridesmaids star has got some serious words of wisdom to impart!
During a recent interview, Melissa McCarthy spoke up about bullying, and had the following to say about it:
"I think everybody has had to deal with it to some degree or another. Mine wasn't physical, but I think everyone's had an experience involving a group that seems cooler and makes you feel like you're less than you are."
"I had great parents. I probably cried in the bathroom, but I would come back out and just go on."
And here's Melissa on how she'll approach the subject of bullying with her kids:
Whatever it takes to put an end to such AWFUL behavior in schools!
Check out the video (above) about a high school freshman who was badly beaten up by another student because of his sexuality.
When the student and his mother contacted school officials, they refused to help, and now the ACLU has taken on the case.
We're glad to hear that the ACLU is supporting this student, but we seriously need anti-bullying laws to be instated in the United States and abroad to stop this once and for all!
