Talk about going above and beyond!
Malyk Bonnet was walking home from work in Canada early August when he noticed a man and woman getting into a fight in the middle of the day.
At first, the 17-year-old intervened to keep anything bad from happening, but when he talked to the woman, he could tell that things were much worse than he originally thought.
In fact, Malyk could tell that the 29-year-old was actually kidnapped and the man was her ex-boyfriend and was keeping her with him against her will!
When the pair asked Malyk for bus money, he lied and said he was going the same direction and would travel with them where he earned the guy's trust before calling 911 at a Tim Hortons.
Police arrived at the restaurant within minutes where the man was promptly arrested for kidnapping!
Now, the Laval Police want to honor Malyk with an award for his bravery, but we're just glad the young woman is safe!
