The Situation is looking grim.

Mike Sorrentino has reached a deal with the DOJ and agreed to plead guilty to tax fraud.

In case you forgot amid all the Jersey Shore revival hype, Mike and his brother Marc Sorrentino were indicted just over three years ago on charges of hiding income from the government.

The ongoing case only got worse last year as the MTV star was hit with more charges of tax evasion and falsifying records.

For hiding earnings of approximately $8.9 million between 2010 and 2012, The Blast reports Mike is facing a potential 15 years in prison, while Marc is looking at an even steeper 25-year bid.

It's a surprising turn of events considering just last week Sorrentino rejected a plea deal. Maybe he got a better look at his legal… situation?

Look, we're not going to apologize. It's not our fault he picked for his reality TV nickname a real word that might be necessary for describing his own legal matters years down the road.

The Situation's Brother Mooching Off His Fame

Friends say that Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's brother, Marc Sorrentino, is totally cashing in on his fame and is now making waves between The Sitch and his manager, Mike Petolino.

Marc has apparently been acting like Mike's manager, making deals for him and scheduling appearances for him while he was away shooting Jersey Shore and Dancing with the Stars, but Petolino of Gotham Entertainment says HE'S the real manager. He states, "As far as management, I'm Mike's manager. Marc is not Mike's manager." Even his lawyer Ray Raya is making sure that people know that "Marc is Mike's brother and one of his closest advisers, but he's doesn't have an official role."

The problem is Marc is heavily involved with Mike's endorsement deals, including a deal with Devotion Vodka, so now people are getting confused. "Nobody knows who the person to deal with is because both are saying, 'I'm the main person for the Situation,'" said an insider.

And not only that, but Marc was accused of holding a woman hostage in a limo a few days ago, which is making things look REALLY bad for Mike. A source says, "The Situation is starting to wake up and be like, 'What's going on?'"

Dude, we understand you have to stay close to family, but if he's making things worse for you, you need to cut those business ties with your bro. It's just not worth it.

marc sorrentino to be questioned by police

Oh geez!

According to Kathryn Redino, The Situation's brother, Marc Sorrentino, held broken glass to her neck and threatened her from leaving a limo.

She also claims that The Situation and other men were present!

Redino called 911 last week to report the incident, but when she went to the New Jersey police to file a criminal complaint, they did not file charges. She filed on her own two days later with the New York police.

She was pAArtying with the boys at 1 Oak Club in Chelsea and hopped in a limo with six others to head to a house party.

After the party, Redino claims she asked to be dropped off at her Upper East Side apartment, but the guys told her she was going to New Jersey. She claims that Marc held broken glass to her neck and was driven against her will to Howell, New Jersey, where Marc has a home.

Sources close to Marc deny the story. Sorrentino filed a complaint for his own saying the she lied to the police.

Police are planning to question Marc but he has not been charged.
