Massachusetts Medical Group Rewarding Vasectomy Patients With Free Pizza

NCAA March Madness 2012

We imagine vasectomy's are pretty terrifying for a man, but one Massachusetts medical group believes nothing can calm the nerves better than a greasy slice of pizza and college basketball.

Urology Associates of Cape Cod is suggesting that men take the time to sterilize themselves during one of their favorite sporting events of the year — March Madness!

One doctor told sources that this is the perfect time to get that procedure done because it gives guys an excuse to lay around on the couch and watch television for a day or two. They are also giving away free pizza to men who decide to take advantage of "easy and less stressful" form of birth control during the promotion.

Who are U rooting for this year? To get a vasectomy, we mean. Ha!

Star College Basketball Player Suspended From Team For Premarital Sex

Brandon Davies

Brigham Young University officials announced Thursday that they are sticking by their decision to kick star player Brandon Davies off of their #3 nationally ranked basketball team for violating the university's honor code.

Although officials did not specfically comment on WHY he was being dismissed for the remainder of the season, a local newspaper cites multiple sources that say the sophomore was booted for having premarital sex!

Wow. That's a little harsh, however, not uncommon for the school whose honor code requires:

"modest, neat and clean" dress and grooming; abstinence from alcohol, tobacco or illegal substances; any physical intimacy that exhibits homosexual feelings; prohibiting members of the opposite sex from going in one's bedroom areas; and regularly participation in church services, be they in the Mormon or another religious faith.

Good thing we didn't go there! Ha!

Tom Holmoe, the school's athletic director, says the school does not make light of the honor code and Davies, athelete or not, is being held to the same as any other student and said:

"We understand that people across the country might think this is foreign to them, and they are shocked and surprised, but for us, we deal with this quite often."

The Cougars are a huge contender in the upcoming NCAA "March Madness" basketball tournament, however, their future may now be a little more uncertain after already losing their first game without Davies.

We can't feel to bad for Davies because it sounds like BYU students are aware of the strict honor code when they enroll, as the atheletic director says:

"We get kids who want to come here, who say this is what they want. We recruit to our strengths, and that is a strength."

Tough break, Brandon! We hope this gets resolved and your back on the court next season!
