Sarah Paulson May Have Developed A Smoking Problem Thanks To Playing Marcia Clark On The People V. O.J. Simpson! Oh No!

no title

Marcia Clark is a bad influence on Sarah Paulson!

The actress is absolutely killing it in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, giving a layered and nuanced performance playing lead prosecutor in O.J. Simpson's murder trial.

Paulson went to great lengths to make sure she properly mimicked all of Clark's physical quirks and tics — but one of the character's habits rubbed off on the actress more than she hoped it would!

Stopping by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night, the 41-year-old revealed that she was actually smoking in the many scenes that show Clark sucking on a cigarette.

While at first, Paulson said she was "coughing a lot," but admitted that eventually started looking forward to any scenes with cigs! She said:

"Eventually I started to be like . . . I was ready for a smoke. I was like, ‘Hey, hey!' It got me a little crazy for the ciggies. I also smoke in American Horror Story and I was shooting them at the same time so it was a real situation."

We can imagine it's pretty easy to get hooked on smoking when filming all those intense, dramatic scenes!

Ch-ch-check out the interview (below) to her Paulson talk more about playing the character!

O.J. Simpson Juror Says The Jury TOTALLY Thought Prosecutors Marcia Clark & Chris Darden Were Hooking Up — See What He Said!

The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story has made The O.J. Simpson trial once again the subject of public interest.

Which means some of the players are coming out of the woodwork to throw in their two cents about why the prosecution lost the high-profile murder trial…

According to Michael Knox aka juror #620, prosecuting attorneys Marcia Clark and Chris Darden (spoilers?) lost the murder trial because the jury thought they were secretly boning each other!

Knox was portrayed in an episode of the FX legal drama as the juror who was dismissed from the trial for lying about a prior conviction — but during his time in the courtroom, he noticed some serious sexual tension between Clarke and Darden!

Speaking to TMZ, Knox reveals that many female panel members saw Marcia as unprofessional — from her hair, to the way she dressed, to the way she "walked around like a hoe." Lovely…

Knox went on to say that the prosecution's downfall was LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman's lie about using the "n-word."

While the trial is still out on if Clark and Dardon actually did the dirty, it looks like Crime Story wasn't exaggerating how badly Clark (played by Sarah Paulson) was mistreated during the trial just for being a woman.

Do YOU think Marcia Clark and Chris Darden hooked up IRL?

What's glove got to do with it?

That was the question on everyone's mind during Tuesday night's The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story when a pair of gloves changed everything in the calculated trial.

As the trial continued, viewers were able to see how professors at Harvard Law were using it to teach their classes — one professor even faxed a suggestion to lead defense attorney Johnnie Cochran (Courtney B. Vance) to bring up drug cartels and their typically brutal murders to the court.
