Six months after Christina Grimmie was fatally shot outside oher concert in Orlando, Florida, her family has decided to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
On Tuesday, the Grimmie family also claims negligent infliction of emotional distress from their daughter's death in the papers filed against AEG Live.

Additionally, the 22-year-old's mother, father, and brother name The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra Plaza Foundation, which owns the Plaza Live where Christina was performing that night, and the security company working in the lawsuit.

On Friday, former The Voice contestant Christina Grimmie lost her life after she was shot by Kevin Loibl while signing autographs outside her Orlando show.
Since the tragic event, not only have we received more information about the shooter, who ended up killing himself after shooting Christina, but there has been an outpour of support for the late singer from various artists including Fifth Harmony.

Marcus Grimmie, the singer's brother and tour manager, was the person addressed hundreds of friends and family that gathered in Evesham, New Jersey, for a vigil held Monday night at Evesham's memorial complex for his sister.
Christina's older bro, who was also the one who tackled the gunman, opened up to the crowd saying:

Adam Levine is stepping up where it really counts.
In an update from Christina Grimmie's brother Marcus Grimmie, it was revealed that Adam has pledged to pay for the late singer's entire funeral. Mr. Levine will also take care of Christina's mother's flight to the service.
The touching news comes on the heels of Ms. Grimmie's tragic and senseless death on June 11 during a meet-and-greet with fans.

For those who don't know, Adam mentored the 22-year-old on season six of The Voice.
Ever since the singer passed away, her coach has publicly come out to express nothing but love and admiration for his former mentee.

Christina Grimmie's death is one awful story in a horribly tragic weekend, but we are now learning more about it as we grapple with such a tragic, scary, heartbreaking incident.

A woman named Destiny Rivera has posted a long message on Facebook claiming to have witnessed the shooting after standing in line for autographs right behind Kevin James Loibl, the man who fired the fatal shots.
Sources can't yet confirm Rivera was at the venue, but she does write some very specific things and includes details that indicate her story may, in fact, be correct.
She writes, in part:

Selena Gomez performed on Saturday night, and in doing so, she dedicated a song to her close friend Christina Grimmie, after Grimmie's horrifying murder the night before.

As we reported, Selena's stepfather was Christina's manager, so this was extremely personal for Selena — and you could see it on her face and in her performance as she broke down to tears during the tribute.

The See You Again singer was performing at a Saturday night concert in New York when he addressed Christina Grimmie's tragic death and paid respects to his friend over the tragedy.

Puth talked to the audience during a lull in his show, making things take a serious tone when he said:
"I was reading the news last night and heard that my good friend Christina Grimmie was killed, and I want to dedicate this song to her tonight. I've been upset about this all day, mainly because I just never got to say what I wanted to say to her, and I feel like this song perfectly captures that."
