Summer Is The Season for Peaches!

It doesn’t get any better than biting into a big, juicy peach!

They are such an amazing treat during the warmer months and taste great alone or in combination with other ingredients. Fruit salad anyone?

Peaches are an ideal fruit for detoxification as they contain compounds that help to cleanse the digestive system, kidneys, and bladder — just don’t eat too many peaches in one sitting! They can act as a diuretic and laxative, so eating too many can actually dehydrate your system.

The Amazing Powers Of Aloe Vera

Margaux New Pic

Listen up, all you eager kittens!

It's time to sit down, put on your reading glasses (if you need them) and listen to what Margaux J. Rathbun has to say about the wonderful powers of Aloe Vera!

She says:

When it comes to Aloe Vera, we typically think of it in regards to relieving the severity of sunburns. What many people don’t know is that this plant has been shown to promote healing for many other ailments including cuts and wounds, scars, varicose veins, and insect stings. Aloe Vera juice is very beneficial for those who suffer from digestive problems. Many natural health drinks are including Aloe Vera in their beverages for that very reason. Aloe Vera has also been shown to promote shiny and strong hair when used as a shampoo, hair gel, or conditioner. It’s also an excellent remedy for skin issues such as acne, scraps, and discoloration. Be sure to keep Aloe Vera in your house all year long and not just in the summer!

We didn't know you could drink it! Cool!

Beat The Burn! Summer Tips!

Margaux New Pic

We're all gonna be outside this summer, as it's shaping up to be BEAUTIFUL!

We just need to protect our skin and bodies from the elements!

Luckily, Margaux J. Rathbun is here to give us some fab tips on how to do just that!

It’s that time of year when the weather is gorgeous and you want to spend as much time as possible outside. Be sure to protect yourself by wearing a natural sunscreen before heading outside to play, walk, garden, or swim. If you get too much sun, drink plenty of water to help with the drying effects of the burn. Carry a BPA-free water bottle with you to stay hydrated during the day. You can even squeeze some lemon juice into the bottle for a healthy dose of vitamin C. Eat a diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables to help provide your skin the nutrients it needs to heal and stay healthy. It’s also important to include plenty of “good fats” in your diet from foods like nuts, salmon, chia seeds, coconut oil, and olives to help promote healing for your skin. Soothe the burn with fresh aloe vera and a good night’s rest to help your body recover.

QuickFit Tip Of The Day

blue

Have you ever tried munching on some mulberries? These little berries are packed with tissue-building protein, iron for preventing anemia, calcium for strong bones and teeth, and vitamin C for a strong immune system. Mulberries are also a good source of fiber which makes them a great food for promoting healthy digestion.
