The man who shot and killed John Lennon won’t be seeing life outside his jail cell anytime soon…!

Mark David Chapman has once again been DENIED parole, after being sentenced to 20 years to life in prison after the 1980 murder of the former Beatle.

This is the SEVENTH time Chapman’s been denied, after requesting parole every two years since 2000.

Board member Sally Thompson, who was present at yesterday’s hearing, stated:

A parole board has decided not to release John Lennon's killer, Mark David Chapman, after his interview that took place today via teleconference at Attica Correctional Facility in upstate New York.

It was Chapman's sixth appearance before the board since becoming eligible for parole back in 2000. He will be eligible once again in 2012.

The board wrote to Chapman that they remain concerned about "the disregard you displayed for the norms of our society and the sanctity of human life when, after careful planning, you travelled to New York for the sole purpose of killing John Lennon" and that "release remains inappropriate at this time and incompatible with the welfare of the community."

It's a 20-years-to-life sentence. We're thinking she wants him in there for life!

And we don't blame her!!!

Next week, the man who killed the legendary John Lennon will be up for parole. As she has done for the last six times this has happened, Yoko Ono will oppose the release. Her lawyer explains that she has yet again sent a letter to the parole board, urging them to keep her husband's murderer, Mark David Chapman, behind bars.

In that letter, Ono wrote that if Chapman is released, "I am afraid it will bring back the nightmare, the chaos and confusion once again. Myself and John's two sons would not feel safe for the rest of our lives."

Poor thing! The woman has already lost her husband. She should loose her sense of security as well.

Besides, we can't even fathom the public outcry if this guy were allowed to walk the streets.

Keep him locked up, where he belongs!
