And the '90s suddenly came crashing back to us!
Although it's been a long time coming, the new single from the recently reunited Blink182 has just dropped, and we think it's safe to say that it feels like these guys never left us at all!
Ch-ch-check out Up All Night, off of their upcoming album, Neighborhoods (above)!
Definitely sounds like more of their earlier stuff, with a splash of Tom's side project, Angels & Airwaves, thrown in there for good measure!
Good to have you back, guys! Can't wait to hear the rest of the new album!
What do U think?? Are U feeling new Blink??
It's coming, guys! Just be patient!
We announced a few months ago that Blink182 was planning on reuniting this summer, to not only go on tour, but to release a brand new album of material, and now lead singer Mark Hoppus wants you to know that this is still the plan, but because of drummer Travis Barker's solo gig taking up some time, the new material may not come together in the timeline they originally anticipated!
"We are still planning for an early-to-midsummer release, we're working very hard at it. Right now Travis is back on the road, so I'm back in L.A. working on the record, [guitarist Tom DeLonge's] working on the record, we're sending stuff to Travis; as soon as [he] gets back, hopefully Tom and I will have the album in a shape where Travis can come in and we can spend, you know, a month, month-and-a-half working really hard on pounding out the album and get it done. It's definitely a very different process … before, at least we were all in the same room at the same time. With this, with Travis having his solo record, me being in L.A., and Tom doing his stuff and also being in San Diego, at first it felt like maybe it was a bit piecemeal, but now it feels like we're getting into a good rhythm. Between sending songs back and forth to each other, we'll all meet up in the studio every few weeks and go over everything, listen down to everything and I'll say, 'OK, I love what you did with this idea. Let me take this song for a week and try some ideas on it.' And I'll take a song for a week, try a bunch of stuff on it, present it back to everybody else, they'll make their comments and then move on from there. There's songs that I think are finished that we go back and work on some more, there's songs that I think are going to take a long time and they end up progressing pretty quickly. I feel like we've worked on about 16 tracks, of which 12 of those are making the cut. When songs don't seem to be working, we let them fall by the wayside, and I think we're pretty good about putting the better songs forward. So, we're working on 12, five or six of those are in states that are near completion, and the other ones are formed ideas with structures and parts — they just need filling in. The skeletons are all there, we just need to fill in the pieces."
Hey! Life gets in the way, and we can be patient!
We just want to make sure that this actually happens! We have heard some new Blink in quite some time, and we're looking forward to hearing how your sound has evolved!
Take your time, guys, and we can't imagine that you'll disappoint!

Blink-182 fans in America rejoice!
Last month, we reported that Blink-182 had plans to do a five-date series of U.K. concerts, but NOW fans stateside can also be excited, because Blink has started talking about their upcoming album as well!
Here's what Mark Hoppus had to say about it:
"We've gone through a lot of really heavy stuff over the past few years. … There's plenty of heavy stuff to write about. I think in moments it will [be dark]. We're still just barely getting into the whole writing process. We have about three or four songs done. I wouldn't say it's going to be a dark record; I think it's really an expansive record. There's stuff that sounds like what we were doing on the last Blink record, and there's stuff that sounds like what we were doing 10 years ago and stuff that we've never done before."
And more from Mark:
"There's going to be a new record, tours, the whole deal. We're in the studio pounding it out right now, and it's going really good. It's been so great to be back in the studio with Tom and Travis creating a new album. We can't wait to get it out there."
Pretty crazy to hear that they're back! We'll be VERY curious to see what they do with this new, EXPANSIVE record!
