Well, at least this is some kind of explanation!

Madonna came under fire when she posted pictures of Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, and Bob Marley all with her Rebel Heart facial wrapping photoshopped onto the icons.

People were obviously upset, saying that she was comparing her Rebel Heart to these men, so she took to her Facebook to explain. Madge said:

Sounds heartfelt enough! She also added in her post of John Lennon:

"I would like to thank all my fans for recreating my album cover with the ❤️Rebel Heart ribbon on the faces of so many Great Hero's. It shows that you are also celebrating and in admiration of these great freedom fighters! When I repost these images i am saying YES! These people are all Rebel Hearts in one way or another from Martin Luther King to Jesus to Nelson Mandela to John Lennon. YES! Lets celebrate them! The world needs more people like them. I hope to one day accomplish. 1 100th of what these Rebel Hearts have accomplished. As I Said in a previous post "I walk in the footsteps of Giants" and i will continue to do so G*D willing. They are my guiding light. ❤️#rebelheart ❤️#livingforlove"

It sounds like all she's doing is admiring these people! But since some folks are still mad, we're curious if YOU think it makes up for posting them in the first place? Let us know in the comments (below)!

First Trailer For Martin Luther King Jr. Film Selma Is Here & Yes, Oprah Is Brilliant!

This looks like an amazing film already!

It was announced that Oprah Winfrey would play Annie Lee Cooper in the upcoming movie Selma, about Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement, and it seems even better than we thought it would be.

The first trailer has been released, and though it's under three minutes, we're still completely moved!

Selma is specifically about the civil rights marches between Selma and Montgomery, Alabama.

The flick comes out on Christmas Day.

Ch-ch-check it out (above) and prepare to be moved.

Paris Hilton Slams Twitter Hoaxer Who Used Her Name To Disrespect Nelson Mandela

paris-hilton-hoax-tweet-nelson-mandela-martin-luther-king-jr

This is soooo extremely messed up!

While the rest of the world was mourning the loss of one of its greatest humans, one mischievous Twitter account was up to no good!

Certain folks (who shall not be named) concocted a fake tweet, made it look like it came from Paris Hilton's account, and then spread it around the internet claiming she had posted the message and then quickly deleted it!

The worst part? The fake tweet was mocking Nelson Mandela!!!

Yeah, that very same South African hero that died today!

HOW RUDE!

Paris was apparently on a plane when the hoaxers struck, but she quickly tweeted out an angry message as soon as she landed.

Hear are her ACTUAL tweets:
