The stage (and screen!) actress proved her musical icon status once again during this year's Olivier Awards when she performed a touching tribute to the late, great, EGOT-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch.

The Broadway legend, who passed away last month, was honored Tuesday in the best way anyone has ever been honored in the history of honoring… with performances by Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Aretha Franklin!!

On Tuesday, we lost legendary composer Marvin Hamlisch.
Since then, there has been an outpouring of fond farewells from friends and fans alike.

Legendary Hollywood and Broadway music-maker Marvin Hamlisch passed away at 68.
The Tony Award winning composer responsible for scoring The Chorus Line died this morning after a short bout with an undisclosed illness.
Marvin was also responsible for scoring several wonderful films including The Way We Were and Sophie's Choice.
Our deepest thoughts and well-wishes extend to all of Marvin's family and loved ones.
Rest in peace, sir. You were one of the greats!
